The Bell Racing Stable and renowned Filipino horse trainer Donato Sordan, went on a real winning spree in last week’s racing, winning seven of the thirty-five races contested.

Exciting USA import Varatti, has stamped himself as one of the Philippines top gallopers, with a runaway win in the Ambassador Eduardo Cojuangco Memorial Cup over 2000 meters on Sunday, at the Philippine Jockey Clubs newly opened Padre Garcia racing circuit.

Last Sunday’s Marho Pearl Celebration Day at Padre Garcia, marked a milestone of three decades of excellence in Philippine thoroughbred breeding and racing, for the Metropolitan Association of Race Horse Owners. Australian Imports Shine at Padre Garcia
Prominent owner breeder Felizardo “Jun” Sevilla, last week produced two outstanding Australian imports at the Padre Garcia track, with Justice Prevails winning a 3YO and Above Maiden over 1200 meters on Friday night, and Repertory a runaway winner in the 3YO and Above Maiden over 1400 meters on Sunday.
Bell Rings up win Number Two
In the early months of 2022, Bell Racing Farm and veteran trainer Donato Sordan were devastated when their stable star Union Bell, had to be retired from racing prematurely, due to on-going tendon issues. It was no doubt a hard loss to accept; he was their brilliant sprinter miler, and a much-loved crowd favorite that had won eight of his twelve starts. What made the retirement even more painful, was that Union Bell was one of the very first foreign bred foals born on the farm, being out of Tocqueville, an Argentinian mare brought from their first overseas broodmare buying venture.
